Johnny's Gold Brick

We will meet first at the newly opened Johnny's Gold Brick by the Treadsack Group. We will be met by the famous, Leslie Ross who has spent 13 years behind the stick and is as at home at dive bars and breweries as she is slinging elaborate competition cocktails. Leslie has been recognized by GQ, Texas Monthly, and Beer Advocate, among others, and was recently named Eater’s Best Bartender (2014) and Bombay Sapphire’s Most Imaginative Bartender (2014). She will give us a little whiskey talk & let us try one of her favorites, an Opal Basil Smash. Then we will head to Houston's 2 local distilleries, Whitmeyers & Yellow Rose for tastings and some swag to take home.
